Frozen"
Written by: Erin Blair
Frozen.
She stood in front of her son's baby picture,
Her eyes became misty with the tears -
she thought had evaporated all those years ago.
Her heart decimated - now filled with the sadness
of never seeing him smile now.
She never thought of giving him up when she held him
in her arms when she gazed at the man she loved.
She never thought this pain would be everlasting
until that fateful night.
Over the years - she never once forgotten how it was to
smell the baby powder of him.
Over the years - she never forgotten of he would go to her
when he cried.
She felt frozen - as though she couldn't feel any emotion.
She felt lost - as thought, she lost the map within her
conscious.
All the 'Maybes" and "What Ifs?" kept her up at night,
knowing what she knows now.
The truth stared in her eyes -- she would never give him
up, she knows that now.
As the photograph frozen the memory of the mother she
wanted to be,
she yearned to feel again.
She wanted to love again.
She wanted to yearn for the love to reenter her life.
Her decision finalized - she knew she had to do what's
right
to repair her heart.
She wanted to feel that special feeling again.
She wanted to be a mother again.
